restrictions on TikTok Shop accounts are being handed out like valentines day cards in a 4th grade classroom 💌

BUT

we’re all MUCH better for it in the long run
 trust.

TikTok has cracked down on supplement brands most of all
 basically calling many creators out for being less than truthful about the actual benefits of the products they’re promoting

this is honestly great news though
 that’s how it should be

putting customers first will ALWAYS be in the best interest of any company (or creator) in the long run


it’ll build consumer trust, and make TikTok viewed as a more valid and safe platform to start creating a very legitimate career on


and it’ll do something very special for creators too


because there are also a LOT more verification requirements now to set up a TikTok shop seller account
 as well as it’s now difficult for creators to purchase accounts with 5K+ followers (which allow you to use TikTok Shop)

which means if you’re a mediocre creator
 you need to level tf up

but if you’re a good & committed creator
 one that can get accounts to 5K for brands
 you’re going to be in HIGH demand, and can insist on better compensation

SO, BOTTOM LINE


while the restrictions are being rolled out, you have nothing to worry about if you’re moving a based product without the use of any tomfoolery promo methods

and you’re most likely safe all together if you’re running something that’s not supplements

and all that this means is that TikTok is positioning themselves as a leading e-commerce service like Amazon, and this will make TikTok Affiliates/Brands look more and more appealing to consumers!
