The (Digital) Space Race šŸš€

it’s the last Monday of the first month of 2024 😳

how the hell did we get here so fast?

we hope you spent the 1st 12th of your year well šŸ§‘šŸ½ā€šŸ’»

Anyway, if you haven’t noticed, we’re in the middle of a digital space race

I posted this a while back on X when TikTok shop came out

and it was to highlight that TikTok is trying to copy Amazon

and Amazon is trying to copy TikTok

Two of the most famous and profitable business models on the planet are
e-commerce and digital entertainment

combine them? they become a blackhole for consumer money

why?

because e-commerce brings massive convenience to consumerism, but it commonly lacks the element of emotion sparking that makes customers SLAM the BUY NOW button

entertainment that quality influencers/creators can produce for their audiences

and now that TikTok has a shop feature

and Amazon has a social media feed

is Jeffy Bezos truly f*cked?

well… not quite yet

BUT for the first time since Amazon went public… it has it’s first legitimate competitor in the e-commerce space

and it cannot just simply be acquired due to it’s formidable size and Chinese origins

and cannot be disregarded as a fad because their goals are clear:

TikTok did $10 BILLION in revenue last year

AND THEY ONLY STARTED IN JULY

so they’ve got proof of concept

and so here we are… in a digital space race
